Tired of creating new accounts in every website?

Every website I logon, I need to register myself. After few days when I try to relogin I just end up forgetting the user name and password I had given last time. As a result, I once again try to register myself and this time I make sure that I note down these details somewhere before its forgotten.I end up having notepad files in my desktop with all these user credentials.I am so tired of creating new account on every website I login that now i avoid visiting new websites coz they come up with yet another username and password. Was wondering if there was some way were I could just use one of my email ids to access all these sites

Well Looks like my prayer has been answered. Now therez a solution for this. The solution would be that of using Open ids.

What is an Open id?

OpenID is a shared identity service, which allows Internet users to log on to many different web sites using a single digital identity, eliminating the need for a different user name and password for each site. OpenID is a decentralized, free and open standard that lets users control the amount of personal information they provide.

Using OpenID-enabled sites, web users do not need to remember traditional items of identity such as username and password. Instead, they only need to be registered with any OpenID "identity provider" (IdP). Since OpenID is decentralized, any website can use OpenID as a way for users to sign in; OpenID does not require a centralized authority to confirm a user's digital identity. [Source: Wikipedia].

For eg: One can have an open id created with yahoo, IBM , google etc and he can use this id to login to any openid enabled websites. Once u provide the details, your id and password will be sent back to yahoo,IBM or google(wherever u had created your open id) for verification, and then, you will be signed on to the website.

Now isnt that super coool???
